The meter measures the magnitude and polarity of static charge on objects or surfaces. The sensor is calibrated for measuring a surface at 1" from the end of the sensor. On metallic or conductive surfaces, the meter measures the voltage on the surface. LA-1 HC Floor Conductivity Tester Hand Crank is an easy-to-use meter developed for accurately testing the conductivity of floors and equipment. The LA- 1 must be used regularly to monitor proper conductivity with NFPA code # 99. Regular use of the LA-1 will establish and maintain procedures for the proper maintenance of conductive floors, eliminate fire hazards, and provide a static free environment. A hand crank AC type generator provides a rectified DC test potential. Additionally, there are no brushes to wear out.
