Model JI-4516
The JI-4516 module is a versatile, easy-to-use device for adding high-voltage, high-current digital I/O capability to a computer system via a USB connection. The module is comprised of 8, low-side power MOSFET switches, and 8 high-voltage inputs. I/O ground isolation eliminates ground-loops and provides protection from noise and switching transients during high-current load switching. The JI-4516 is available as either a desktop unit or low-cost OEM board.

Easily connect Arduino or other 5V microcontrollers to ~3.3V sensors. Based on the TI TXB0108 auto-sensing, bi-directional level translator, this module provides access to all 8 channels of the TXB0108 and has a built-in 300mA LDO with 200mV max dropout voltage at full load. Regulated 3.3V output allows this single board to both interface withandpower 3.3V sensors. An important feature of this module is the ability to operate SPI and other digital lines (not including I2C) at high-speed, whereas the 'NXP level shifter' maxes out at 400kHz and resistor dividers fail much earlier. The TXB0108, integrated with the LP3981 LDO, provide a fast, reliable solution to mismatched interface voltages that exceeds the performance of other solutions.

This model is for diametral strain measurement with furnace and induction heating systems. Quartz rods and water-cooling allow the unit to be used for high temperature testing of metals, ceramics and composites. With induction heating, this model often can be used without water-cooling. When used in furnaces, the extensometer is often mounted directly to the furnace side cut-out. Optional load frame mounting brackets are available for supporting the extensometer in cases where furnace mounting is not possible. These optional mounts are used with induction heating or furnace systems. The Model 3580 extensometers are strain gaged devices, making them compatible with any electronics designed for strain gaged transducers. Most often they are connected to a test machine controller. The signal conditioning electronics for the extensometer is typically included with the test machine controller or may often be added. In this case the extensometer is shipped with the proper connector and wiring to plug directly into the electronics. For systems lacking the required electronics, Epsilon can provide a variety of solutions, allowing the extensometer output to be connected to data acquisition boards, chart recorders or other equipment.

GX5960 Series
The GX5960 digital subsystem represents the highest level of performance available for PXI-based digital instrumentation and features high performance pin electronics and a timing generator / sequencer in a compact, 6U PXI form factor. The GX5960 series consists of the GX5961 clock generator board with 16 driver / sensor channels and the GX5964 driver / sensor board which supports 32 bi-directional I/O channels. This is an innovative and robust contact technology for making Kelvin contact to 0.5mm pitch QFNs. The contact uses a tip that is angled to one side, matched to an orientation that's flat on the tip. Two such contacts placed in opposition will touch the pad within 0.125mm. And because the tip is offset, the probe diameter is a robust 0.39mm and the load board pad pitch remains 0.5mm.
