CXAR products are 50 or 75 ohm coax switch modules with mechanical or solid state switches. They can be configured to drive from 16 to 256 switch points and are intended to be used for signal from DC to 2.5 GHz depending on the configuration. Most of the modules used in these systems are 1xN multiplexers that can be combined to form larger multiplexers or matrices. The PCI‑GPIB can sustain data transfer rates of more than 1.5 MB/s using the IEEE 488.1 three‑wire interlocked handshake.
