Wrist Strap Monitors
Single conductor (more commonly called single wire) ESD wrist strap monitors detect capacitance. These simplified monitors sense the input connection but do not discern precision resistance. They also offer additional value by monitoring the worksurface (ESD Mat) and the ground connection. ESD Protection
Protection against electrostatic discharges (ESD) is part of EMC Immunity (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) requirements. It is the ability for equipment to properly operate in its electromagnetic environment by limiting the reception of electromagnetic energy that may cause physical damage. Phase Monitors
