Preamplifiers
A.H. Systems'' Preamplifier line is an excellent choice with a rugged design, no hassles with soldering your own power leads and they improve overall system sensitivity by at least 20 dB. All of A.H. Systems'' Preamplifiers come with a 12-volt (or 15-volt) DC regulated power source. A low voltage indicator confidently allows you to power the amplifier with your own external 12-volt DC battery. This makes it a convenient choice for field measurements. See table below for amplifier specifications.

Energy Probes
RjP-400 Series
The RkP-400 Series probes consist of a compact detector assembly, or head, and a preamplifier housed in a separate enclosure. The external dimensions of all the 400 Series Probes are the same, with identical detector planes, allowing for easy interchange of probes in an experiment. The heads have both ¼-20 and M6 tapped holes, a built-in 1" (25mm) filter holder, and a side-mounted BNC connector. Probe specific data, including spectral response curves and calibration dates, is stored in the preamplifier for access by the instruments.

They are completely self-contained, with built-in preamplifier, shaping amplifier, baseline restorer, pulse height digitizer, and HV supply. The digitized pulse heights of detected gamma-ray signals are sent to a PC via the USB. The unit is powered entirely from the USB bus, so no external power supply is needed.

Preamplifiers
Com-Power broadband high gain preamplifiers were designed for electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing and certification. EMC test labs use preamplifiers to improve sensitivity of the test system during EMI radiated emissions measurements. Without a high gain preamplifier, signals picked by the antenna that have amplitudes below the noise floor of the test system cannot be measured. The preamplifier gain has minimum variations for the entire operating frequency range for accurate emissions measurements. The Com-Power preamplifiers were primarily intended for EMC applications. However, it can be used for other applications that require signal amplification.
