PXI 32 Chan I/O Parallel I/P Prog Threshold

A 32-channel Digital I/O module with high output voltage and current capability and a dual variable threshold input. Each of the 32 channel outputs can be used to drive the output high or low using a high current capacity drive capable of sourcing 0.4A from the high side or 0.5A sink on the low side for each channel. The module is available in two versions with either serial or parallel capture of the input levels.

The ADLINK PCIe-9814 is a PCI Express digitizer providing speedy, high quality data acquisition. Each of the four input channels supports up to 80MS/s sampling, with 12-bit resolution A/D converter. This allows simultaneous recording of signals on all channels with no inter channel phase delay. The extremely large on-board memory enables long recording times even at the highest sampling rates.Unlike parallel PCI buses, PCI Express slots utilize serial point-to-point connection. Each connection pair (lane) can achieve burst connection speeds of 250MB/s. The PCIe-9814, based on x4 lane slot PCI Express technology, provides a clear advantage in that direct connection of each slot allows full transfer bandwidth for each individual card. It is highly desirable to reduce the number of cables required to communicate between spaces on Navy ships due to increased weight, cost and maintenance concerns. To reduce weight and expense, copper-based NTDS parallel and serial type cables can be converted to fiber optic and multiplexed using Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology. WDM technology allows for multiple fiber optic wavelengths to be combined in a single fiber and then separated back to individual fibers at the distant end. Using Coarse WDM (CWDM) which utilizes wavelengths 20nm apart ranging from 1271 nm to 1611 nm, provides for up to 18 optical wavelengths to be combined into a single fiber. Optionally Dense WDM (DWDM) can be used allowing for up to 160 optical wavelengths.
