PCIe to PXI Remote Control Interface Kit

The kit is supplied with a PCIe card which can plug into any PC PCIe slot, a PXI module for insertion into Slot 1 of a PXI chassis and 3m lead to connect the two parts together. The interface uses a single lane PCIe connection from the PC to provide a software transparent link from the PC PCIe backplane to the PXI backplane. The supplied 3m shielded lead ensures the system has robust operation and an adequate separation distance between the PC and the PXI chassis.

The PCI104 is a PCIe carrier for PCI Mezzanine Cards (PMC) or Processor PCI Mezzanine Cards (PrPMC). The PCI104 carrier allows simplified testing of PMC/PrPMCs and their associated PMC I/O Modules (PIMs) by using a PC environment during board development or deployment. The PCI104 can also reduce the costs of manufacturing PMC/PrPMCs by allowing manufacturers to use off-the-shelf PCs for functional testing. The PCI104 converts the PCIe x4 edge connection to PCI-X via a PCIe to PCI-X bridge. The trace lengths to the PMC/PrPMCare kept to a minimum so the PMC/PrPMC can run with a133MHz PCI-X clock speed. The J4 connector of the installed PMC/PrPMC is routed to a 96-pin DIN connector per theVITA-35 specification. The PCIe to PCI-X bridge can run in either transparent or non-transparent mode and can also operate in forward or reverse mode. The PCI104 has a fan mounted on the board to cool the PMC/PrPMC. The fan can easily be removed for testing and probing of hosted card.

PXI Signal Insertion Switch Module
PXI Signal Insertion Switch Modules, also known as fault insertion units (FIUs), provide a set of feedthrough channels, which make the switch transparent to the system when closed. You can open or short these channels to one of two fault buses, allowing you to simulate open or interrupted connections as well as shorts between pins, shorts to battery voltages, and shorts to ground on a per-channel basis. Intended for large-volume OEM applications, the id150-1x8 is the only multichannel solid-state single photon detector on the market. It consists of a CMOS silicon chip packaged in a standard TO8-16pin header with a transparent window cap. The chip combines 8 in-line single photon avalanche diodes that can be accessed simultaneously for parallel processing. square in center-to-center A fast active quenching circuit is integrated within each pixel in order to operate each diode in photon counting regime. The chip is mounted on a printed circuit board on top of a single-stage thermoelectric cooler (TEC). A thermistor can be used to measure the temperature of the chip. Only two low power supplies of +5V and -25V are needed for operation in photon counting mode. The fast active quenching circuit leads to a dead time of less than 50ns per channel. An outstanding timing resolution of less than 60ps allows high accuracy measurements.
